Beginning in New York City Public Schools, she helped create systems that ensured parents had a voice in educational planning and decision-making.

Throughout her career, she has launched impactful initiatives such as Parent Universities, Community Resource Centers, and Parent Empowerment Summits—helping families better understand the education system and advocate for their children. Her work has also connected parents to critical resources like financial literacy and college readiness support, increasing student success beyond graduation.

As a former Chief Academic Officer and district CEO, Dr. Cade-Lyles embedded parent engagement into instructional systems—introducing strategies that support learning at home, digital literacy, and early childhood development. Her signature Academic 5K Instructional Model further strengthens collaboration between families and educators.
